The university’s Faculty of Business and Economics has been recognised with the distinguished AACSB International accreditation. The AASCB was established in 1916 and is the oldest-serving accreditation body worldwide for business schools.

Macquarie University and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced a new research agreement that will provide opportunities for Macquarie students to gain valuable real-world experience in the frontier application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the financial services sector.
As part of the substantial research agreement, TCS and Macquarie will provide research scholarships to postgraduate students, giving them global research exposure, access to international conferences and the opportunity to work on projects that explore the use of data analytics and AI in the financial services sector.
The partnership will also create future opportunities for Macquarie students, including access to the Tata Global Internship Programme (TGIP), which provides internships that enable students to build critical business skills while working on real projects globally. The students will learn how Tata manages operations across its conglomerate of companies spanning a wide range of industries.

The Macquarie University Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship is awarded to recognise academic excellence for international students. This scholarship provides up to AUD 10,000 applied towards the programme’s tuition fee.
Macquarie offers a wide range of tuition fee waiver scholarships for international students from priority markets. The scholarship is valued from AUD 5,000 up to AUD 10,000 per year applied towards tuition fees for the programme duration.
Macquarie University is an approved provider for many international government and academic institution scholarship programmes. The university also warmly welcomes recipients of the Australia Awards programme funded by the Australian government.
To apply for an undergraduate programme, international students will need to have completed one or more of the following academic qualifications:
In general, entry requires a bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution considered equivalent to an Australian bachelor’s degree (Level 7 on the Australian Qualifications Framework).
Some courses may require previous study or work experience in a related area, a higher-level qualification such as an Honour’s Bachelor (AQF Level 8), or other additional entry criteria that must be satisfied. Some courses may also have a specific Weight Average Mark (WAM) requirement, which reflects overall performance in the student’s previous qualification and based on a percentage average (out of 100).
Depending on students’ prior qualifications, work experience, or other recognised prior learning, they may also be eligible for shorter admission points (ranging from 1 to 1.5 years) in master’s courses, enabling them to fast track their study and save on time and money.
