What will I learn?

A Bachelor of Business in Marketing provides you with the skills to engage and influence customers, develop brand loyalty programs and execute strategic campaigns. A marketing degree delivers key information on how to enhance core business knowledge with marketing practices, using an eye for industry trends, responsibilities, needs and opportunities. You’ll graduate job-ready with a strong body of business knowledge and marketing ability.

The Bachelor of Business (Marketing) builds a strong understanding of business principles while you learn key knowledge in marketing theories and practice. This course examines the role that marketing plays in the success of contemporary organisations and explores industry trends and a variety of ways to respond to them. This degree has been developed in consultation with the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) to ensure you’re taught the most relevant and up-to-date information. This course also involves industry work placement where you will gain hands-on experience that complements your theoretical knowledge.

Subjects and units

This course comprises of 24 subjects, which includes 16 core subjects, including 320 hours of industry placement, and 8 elective subjects. Each subject involves 10 hours of study per week, comprising 3 hours of facilitated study and 7 hours self-directed study.

International students must not enrol in more than one-third (33%) of online subjects over their course and must study at least one face-to-face subject each study period. Most face-to-face courses are also available online. Please note that due to COVID-19 pandemic, authorities have provided exceptions to the usual face-to-face learning requirements.

International students on a student visa are required to study full time, i.e., the student must complete a minimum of 1.0 EFTSL of study per year.
