What will I learn?

Learn how to value properties and become a savvy analyst of the property industry. You'll learn about the role and the role property plays in our economy and society, covering fundamentals in property valuation, economics, finance, law, construction, sustainability and investment analysis. As a result, you’ll be well equipped to accurately assess a property’s worth – a skill highly valued by credit lenders and developers.Our accreditation through the Australian Property Institute and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors ensures you’re learning the most up-to-date skills required by industry.You’ll gain hands-on experience with professional software, and engage with property experts through guest lectures, site visits and real-world projects. You’ll also have opportunities for internships throughout your course, including a final-year three-week work placement with a valuation firm recognised by the Australian Property Institute. This course is ideal for aspiring property valuers, investors and developers. It’s a great choice if you are a person with strong decision-making skills, or you're a real estate professional seeking to upskill. Upon graduation, you'll be eligible to pursue a property valuer certification, enabling you to work independently or for banks or government bodies like Landgate. You could also pursue a career in property development, allowing you to shape the construction, sustainability and affordability of new dwellings.

For international students

To apply for entry into this course, you must have met:

  • the course ATAR (Australian Tertiary Academic Rank) or equivalent recognised overseas qualification
  • ATAR - 70
  • Completion of Australian Year 12 (VCE, HSC, QCE, WACE, SACE, TCE, NTCE, ACT) with a minimum Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 70; and a scaled mark of at least 50 in English, Literature, or English as an Additional Language or Dialect.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma - 24
