What will I learn?

Renewable energy sources play a vital role in the continued reduction of our society’s carbon footprint. Understanding their availability, limitations and challenges is critical to engineering energy solutions which are balanced on social, economic and environmental grounds. By studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Electrical and Renewable Power), you will gain an in-depth understanding of energy systems. You will gain hands-on experience working with technologies to generate electricity from renewable sources, including photovoltaics, wind power, solar thermal power, hydropower, and wave energy. We will prepare you for future engineering careers, where you will create value within economic systems that tackle global challenges like climate change, waste production, energy efficiency, water scarcity and air pollution.

Students must have a pass in Australian Year 12 or equivalent. Pre-requisites: General Mathematics, or Mathematical Methods, or Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C)
