What will I learn?

JCU Brisbane’s Bachelor of Information Technology brings together the knowledge and technical skills that are essential when you’re ready to make a start in your professional IT career. You’ll learn about Cyber-Security, Networking, Interactive Visualization, Big Data and Data Mining, Data Science, Web Technologies, Mobile Technologies, Programming, Design Thinking and a lot more.

You’ll also have the opportunity to apply your skills to real-life business projects through an industry placement or project – so you’ll be building your CV while you study. The projects you’ll work on will give you genuine workplace skills and you’ll be contributing to industry too.

Graduates are eligible to become an Associate Member of the Australian Computer Society (ACS).

Entry requirements

For international students

Entry requirements vary from country to country. Students are required to complete international academic qualification equivalent to Australian Year 12 (or equivalent).

IELTS: 6.0 (no sub score below 6.0), PEARSON (PTE Academic): 52 (no component less than 52), TOEFL ibt: 74 (minimum writing score of 18), TOEFL Paper: 550 (minimum test of written English score of 4.5), Cambridge (CP1 Advanced / CP2 Proficiency: 169 (no component less than 169), CEFR Level: B2/C1.
