Offered on a full time basis over 2.5 years, the Bachelor of Podiatry - Graduate Entry is a smart choice for professionals working in health, sports science and biomedical science, seeking to fast-track into a new career. Employment opportunities for podiatrists are excellent. This course was Queensland’s first degree in podiatry and offers opportunities for hands-on learning that are unique to QUT. Our teaching and clinical staff are practising podiatrists who maintain links with the profession ensuring our courses are up-to-date and relevant. Podiatrists diagnose and manage a wide range of foot and related lower limb conditions to help improve mobility and quality of life in people of all ages. As a training podiatrist, you will provide foot health care to diverse clients utilising podiatry surgical procedures, musculoskeletal and gait assessments, orthoses and exercise prescription, wound care and foot health education. Commonly, patients present with conditions that may include foot pain, sports injuries, footwear problems, skin or nail problems. Podiatrists often work alongside other health professionals to deliver the best overall care for a patient with chronic disease such as diabetes or rheumatoid arthritis.During this course you will undertake high quality hands-on clinical placement experiences. At our on-campus podiatry clinic, you will treat real patients under the supervision of clinical educators who are registered podiatrists.

Entry requirements

For international students

A completed Australian bachelors degree in medical science or heath science, completed within 10 years of commencement at QUT, with a grade point average of 4.0 or higher (on QUTs 7 point scale).

IELTS Academic score of 7.0 with Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking score of 6.5; TOEFL iBT score of 98 with Listening, Reading and Speaking score of 20, Writing score of 24; Pearson PTE (Academic) score of 65 with Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking score of 58; Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) score of 185 with Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking score of 176.
