What will I learn?

You will develop the knowledge and skills needed to work in public health roles around the world. You will learn how to address major health issues including chronic disease, sexual health, nutrition, HIV/AIDs, physical activity, drugs and alcohol within many populations such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, youth, seniors and in settings such as workplaces, hospital and schools. As a graduate you will be qualified to find work as a public health officer or a health promotion officer tackling our most pressing health issues. You could work on intervention programs or policies in teams at an international level with organisations such as the World Health Organization, the United Nations or UNICEF or with federal, state or local governments or at the community level. You will be prepared for a range of contemporary issues such as mental health, women's and men's health, epidemics and pandemics, alcohol and drugs, and child and adolescent health.
