About this course

What will I learn?

If you’re interested in promoting and improving food choices by working in the community, this double degree offers the right combination of skill sets. In this course, you’ll learn to identify the nutritional health needs of individuals, groups and communities develop and coordinate promotional activities and advocate for better health policies. This qualification meets the academic requirement to apply for Associate Nutritionist status with the Nutrition Society of Australia, and the International Union for Health Promotion and Education membership. This qualification also meets the academic requirements to be eligible to apply for our Master of Dietetics. As a student, you'll be eligible for student membership with the Nutrition Society of Australia, and the Public Health Association of Australia.

Entry requirements

For international students

To apply for entry into this course, you must have met:

  • the course ATAR (Australian Tertiary Academic Rank) or equivalent recognised overseas qualification
  • ATAR - 70
  • Completion of Australian Year 12 (VCE, HSC, QCE, WACE, SACE, TCE, NTCE, ACT) with a minimum Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 70; and a scaled mark of at least 50 in English, Literature, or English as an Additional Language or Dialect.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma - 24
  • Prerequisite subjects - Essential subjects - At least one science subject from the following list: - Biology, Chemistry, Human Biology or Physics ATAR
