Age of 18 years or above. Satisfactory completion of the equivalent of Australian Year 11 or higher. Have physical attributes suitable for working in the automotive industry that encompasses manual handling of equipment including lifting and carrying heavy objects within scope of safe working practices (i.e. removing and fitting engine electrical components and parts) and Have physical attributes suitable for working in the automotive industry that encompasses manual handling of equipment including lifting and carrying heavy objects within scope of safe working practices (i.e. carrying diagnostic equipment and scan tools/equipment, removing and carrying vehicle electrical systems). Those undertaking the Diploma of Automotive Technology must have completed an automotive Certificate IV qualification in one of the following disciplines, or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency: AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis and AUR40816 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Overhauling. Have physical attributes suitable for working in the automotive industry that encompasses manual handling of equipment including lifting and carrying heavy objects within scope of safe working practices (i.e. removing and fitting engine electrical components and parts).
