If you want to learn more about the operation of sophisticated surveying equipment, then CPP60116 Advanced Diploma of Surveying is well matched to meet your needs. In this course, you will gain the educational and practical training to extend your career in the surveying, mapping, and geographical information systems (GIS) industries. You will learn about collecting and analysing spatial data for complex engineering structures such as roads, railways and surface and underground mining structures.

This course is designed to build on the knowledge you acquired whilst studying the Diploma, and will give you the additional skills in cutting edge surveying technologies. Surveying is an important part of local, state and national land management programs and building, construction and environmental projects. At this level, you are required to conduct advanced GNSS control surveys and engineering setout surveys while ensuring that all risks that may arise can be managed with minimal impact.

Once you successfully complete this course, you can also continue your studies at University.

Entry requirements

For international students

Entry requirements vary from country to country. Completion of CPP50121 Diploma of Surveying is required for entry into this course.

IELTS score (academic) of 5.5 with no band score less than 5.0; TOEFL 55 (iBT); Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic – Minimum Level 43; Password score of 5.5; Eiken Grade Pre 1; Successful completion of at least 2 years of study at an acceptable grade in an English medium course completed within the previous 2 years OR GCE O Levels English with 'C'; 'A' or 'B' in Malaysian SPM English or 'C' in 1119 English; Kenyan KCSE English 'C'; International Baccalaureate (IB) Minimum of 3 in English A1 or A2; Completion of the Cambridge First Certificate of English (FCE); Successful completion of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at Upper Intermediate Level or equivalent at North Metropolitan TAFE or a recognized English college.
