The Diploma in Engineering draws on units from the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), introducing you to foundational engineering concepts, knowledge, and technical skills. In addition, the diploma has a strong focus on the development of academic skills required at university, preparing you for successful study.

All units adopt a blended approach to learning. On-campus classes are supported by online activities, helping you to become an independent learner. You’ll benefit from additional contact hours with experienced QUT educators in smaller class sizes allowing a more personalised learning experience.

English Language Requirements

IELTS Academic score of 5.5 with Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking score of 5; TOEFL iBT score of 56 with Listening, Reading score of 10, Writing score of 15 and Speaking score of 14; Pearson PTE (Academic) score of 46 with Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking score of 38; Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) score of 162 with Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking score of 154.
