What will I learn?

The Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Oral Surgery) is a postgraduate coursework degree that will develop your skills in the surgical management of the full range of oral diseases in hospital and non-hospital settings, complemented by a research project in the field of oral surgery and oral pathology under the supervision of an academic staff member.Over three years you will complete a prescribed course of core units in clinical dentistry and oral surgery, culminating in the submission of a research treatise.Graduates from this program are eligible to apply for registration with the Dental Board of Australia as specialists in oral surgery.This course will develop your skills in the surgical management of the full range of oral diseases in hospital and non-hospital settings, complemented by a research project in the field of oral surgery and oral pathology under the supervision of an academic staff member.The Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Oral Surgery) is suitable for qualified local and international dentists preparing for a career in clinical oral surgery.

Entry requirements

For international students

Admission to the course requires:

completion of the requirements for the Master of Science in Medicine (Sleep Medicine)

an average mark of at least 75% in 4 x compulsory and/or stream units of study

any other requirements as stated by the Faculty at the time of application

at least 12 months of relevant work experience.
