What will I learn?

The Master of Diagnostic Radiography teaches you how to work with a range of innovative imaging technologies including small mobile X-ray machines and larger units such as MRI and CT scanners, as well as sophisticated cardiac units to enable accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.This course is designed for students who want to become registered diagnostic radiographers. You will learn from expert academics to work closely with radiologists and use a range of modalities to provide images and data for the diagnosis and treatment of injury or disease.The Master of Diagnostic Radiography is a postgraduate coursework degree that will prepare you for professional practice as a diagnostic radiographer. Over two years you will gain the skills to use the latest technology to produce high-quality medical images that can assist medical specialists to describe, diagnose, monitor and treat injury or illness. This program is accredited by the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia and is an approved program of study for general registration. Graduates of this program will be eligible to register with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia.You will study core units in biosciences, diagnostic radiography, and clinical and professional practice units which you must pass in order to continue your studies. You will also complete a capstone project and 770 hours of professional practice in the form of clinical placements across both the public and private sectors.
