Incorporating a professional development workshop, the Master of International Hotel Management course supports you with greater awareness of what lies ahead when entering your first role. It provides a realistic view of what you will encounter when entering the hospitality sector. Additionally, you will learn about future leader qualities and attributes, cultural awareness (adaption and flexibility), business communications (verbal and nonverbal), professional use of social media and the importance of grooming.

Subjects and units

This course comprises of 13 subjects, which includes 12 core subjects, 1 elective subject and 1 industry placement of up to 600 hours.

International students must not enrol in more than one-third (33%) of online subjects over their course and must study at least one face-to-face subject each study period. Most face-to-face courses are also available online. Please note that due to COVID-19 pandemic, authorities have provided exceptions to the usual face-to-face learning requirements.

Entry requirements

For students from United States

Must be 21 years of age or over when starting a Masters’ degree, Must have Completed a bachelor degree (or equivalent to AQF 7), or for international qualifications as recognised by the Country Education Profiles produced by Australian Education International. English Language Proficiency: IELTS of 6.0 (Academic) or equivalent.

For international students

  • Australian bachelor's degree or equivalent; and
  • Academic IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
