What will I learn?

Develop specialised technical knowledge in biomedical engineering to help you transition to an engineering career.You’ll gain a detailed understanding of biomaterials engineering, applied tissue engineering, advanced engineering materials and computational fluid dynamics.This course is for people seeking to make the transition from a science or mathematics-based career to become an engineer, or who already have an engineering degree and would like to change paths to a different specialisation.This course has a professional practice component that is usually undertaken over 12 weeks. This provides you with an opportunity to gain industry exposure within an engineering environment.

Entry requirements

For international students

An Australian bachelor's degree with honours or higher in any discipline with a credit average (65 percent) or equivalent qualification or

an Australian bachelor's degree or higher in a related discipline with a credit average (65 percent) or equivalent qualification or

an Australian bachelor's degree in an unrelated discipline with a credit average (65 percent) or equivalent qualification, and relevant professional work experience (typically two years) or

any of the above combinations of qualifications and/or experience with less than a credit average (minimum 50 percent required) and satisfactory performance in the GMAT (for guidance, the class average score is 630) or equivalent Business School approved admissions test or

the University of Sydney Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations with a credit average (65 percent).
