You will be able to critically review the health and wellbeing of elderly people, review social policy in aged care, and develop advocacy skills to work with users, carers and colleagues in the health, social care and voluntary sectors. The program differs from courses offered by other Australian universities in that it includes a rehabilitation approach to developing services for elderly people.

A recognised Bachelors degree in a health-related discipline, or equivalent.International students must have formalised face-to-face arrangements constituting at least 66% of their coursework for compliance with ESOS legislation.
