What will I learn?

This program will develop your leadership and expertise in urban design and urbanism with a strong emphasis on sustainability, quantification and implementation. Gain a multidisciplinary outlook with emphasis on communication and collaboration that emulates real-world practice.Professionals and graduates in architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning or similar areas will develop and extend their professional expertise but we also welcome applicants from other disciplines. This course is ideal for graduates of the Bachelor of Architecture and Environments.The Master of Urban Design is a postgraduate coursework degree that will develop your skills in design, analysis and spatial thinking. You will complete core foundational units in urban design including urban design practice, theory and spatial analysis.Electives are taken from a pool of units, especially based around design and thinking and urban form our ADP School to make up the required credit points for the course.

Entry requirements

For international students

Admission to the Master of Urbanism requires

a bachelor's degree in design, human geography or related field from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification; or

completion of the requirements of the embedded graduate diploma.
