What will I learn?

The archaeological facilities of the department include teaching and research labs for Arctic, Great Lakes, and Historic archaeology. Limited collections for each of these research areas are held in the department and can be used in student research.Field equipment sufficient for small scale excavation is available. The department has good holdings of 35 mm slides covering the prehistory of several world areas, along with a small collection of artifact reproductions from spanning human prehistory.
