What will I learn?

The Accounting major prepares students to be able to analyze and solve problems, and participate in the decision-making process of any organization. Students will learn to contribute to collaborative, information-sharing, and joint-planning processes. They will acquire the necessary qualitative and quantitative skills for complex problem solving in an accounting and business environment. With knowledge of all areas of business and in-depth study of advanced accounting topics, students are able to, upon graduation, pursue a professional designation, graduate-level studies or to assume a managerial or accounting position. The Accounting major offered by MacEwan University is a Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) accredited program.
