What will I learn?

After completing Western Engineering’s Common First Year, you can enroll in the Chemical Engineering program. In your third year of study, you will have the opportunity to choose one of the following options: General Chemical Engineering or Biochemical and Environmental Engineering.This option includes courses in the fundamentals of chemical engineering, and biochemical and environmental engineering resulting in a synergistic interaction between all three. Students learn about renewable energy, bioenergy and biofuels, plus biotechnology and environmental pollution control. They also develop the necessary skills to design a process using a holistic approach by combining and applying all the required principles of chemical, biochemical and environmental engineering.
