What will I learn?

Studying Integrated Environmental Management at Dalhousies Agricultural Campus in Truro N.S. will offer you training in green science and technology. Founded on the four pillars of bio-resources - technology energy water and waste - youll gain the skills to create sustainable solutions to our national and global resource management and food production needs. Studying Integrated Environmental Management at Dalhousie means youll learn about real-world problems and how to solve them. First-year students begin by building a foundation in the core sciences of agriculture biology chemistry and calculus. In upper years youll study technologies associated with biological and environmental systems as they apply to fiber fuel and food. Plus youll apply your knowledge to solve industry-related problems.Courses cover a wide variety of topics including agriculture water and food processing systems mechanics of materials structures and their environment renewable energy and engineering measurements and controls. You can also choose from numerous electives to tailor your degree to your interests.In addition to classroom learning youll take part in experiential learning activities such as labs and experiments. Youll have access to cutting-edge research opportunities advanced technology and exceptional learning facilities.
