This combined degree allows you to complete the first three years of your degree at Augustana, followed by two years on North Campus, in Edmonton. With this program, you will typically do your work experience placements in a rural or small-town school. As a part of this program you will be able to teach general sciences but also focus your studies into one of four streams: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, or General Science. Students must also select a teachable minor to complete their degree. Augustana is a small campus located in Camrose, Alberta, just one hour southeast of Edmonton. This liberal arts and science campus is home to just over 1,000 students from across Canada and around the world. Augustana offers degree programs in an intimate and personalized setting, with an average class size of 22 people. Each semester is comprised of a three-week session studying a single course, followed by a more traditional 11-week session studying up to four courses. This gives you the opportunity to dive deeper into research, travel, and other experiential learning endeavors, while at the same time reducing stress and workload.
