What will I learn?

In the Psychology program at UNB's Fredericton campus, you'll explore human behaviour- our desires, impulses, actions and emotions- in the context of the science that drives it.The Psychology program will prepare you for a variety of careers, including policymaking at the local, national or global level, or professional programs in a range of healthcare areas such as neuropsychology, speech and language pathology, or medicine.You'll have the opportunity to complete courses in:Cognitive neuroscience (the connection between the brain and behaviour)Drugs and behaviourPhysiological psychologySurveys of the sensesLaboratory courses that allow for more intensive studyThe Psychology program is available as a major, double major, minor, or honours option as part of a four-year Bachelor of Science degree

Entry requirements

For international students

Students must have completed a recognized secondary (high school) credential in your country. International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) - English Language, English First Language, English Literature (other literature-based language courses will be considered). Mathematics (must be taken at AS/Adv. Level). Chemistry. 1 of either Biology or Physics. 1 elective from group 1 or 2 (a group 4 elective may be used for entrance to Computer Science only). Overall average of B or higher in the subjects above. International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) - English A: Language & Literature (other languages will be considered) Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (SL or HL) or Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation HL. Chemistry. 1 of either Biology or Physics. 1 elective from group 1 or 2 (*a group 4 elective may be used for entrance to Computer Science only). Overall average of 4 or higher in the subjects above
