What will I learn?

Through hands-on learning in the classroom and field, the StFX Earth and Environmental Sciences Department will help you follow your passion to learn about the natural processes that have shaped Earth’s evolution for over 4.6 billion years and continue to influence its modern environment. Earth and Environmental Sciences uses physical, chemical, biological, and mathematical methods to study the Earth’s materials, behaviour, history, and environment. You will study fascinating field topics such as the origin of the majestic Rocky Mountains, how human activities alter the movement of water and chemicals, the life and death of dinosaurs, climate change and greenhouse gases, and the origin and evolution of the oceans.

English 12 Pre Calculus 12 or Calculus 12 two of Biology 12 Chemistry 12 Physics 12 and one other university preparatory courseStudents who complete the International Baccalaureate IB Diploma with a minimum score of 24 will be considered for admission.Minimum grade requirement for any subject is 3.
