What will I learn?

Virtually everything we eat, drink, wear, touch, and use is the result of chemical engineering. In the Chemical Engineering program at UNB, you’ll learn how to transform raw materials into useful products while protecting the environment, managing resources, and meeting strict health and safety standards. You’ll also explore chemical processes that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase safety and security. Examples include the development of more affordable drugs, more efficient fuels, and better pollution controls. In other words, you’ll explore ways to make the world a better place.Chemical Engineering is available as a major in the Bachelor of Science in Engineering program. Two option programs within the technical electives stream are available: Energy Conversion Engineering and Biomedical Engineering.Hands-on learning:Co-operative Education (Co-op) programLaboratory experienceChemical plant design course/project

Entry requirements

For international students

Students must have completed a recognized secondary (high school) credential in your country. International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) - English A: Language & Literature (other languages will be considered). Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (SL) or Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation (SL). Chemistry. Biology, 1 elective from group 1. Each subject passed with a minimum grade of B. Overall average of B or higher in the subjects above. International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) - English A: Language & Literature (other languages will be considered) Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (SL) or Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation (SL). Chemistry. Biology1 elective from group 1 Each subject passed with a minimum grade of 4 with an overall average of 4 or higher
