What will I learn?

Professional engineers apply principles of science and mathematics to solve real-world problems and achieve practical goals through innovation. This field requires a creative mind, scientific knowledge and powerful problem-solving skills. As a career choice, it is broad, rewarding and applicable to every part of society. This program is offered in partnership with the University of Alberta. The program is based on the first year of Engineering at the University of Alberta, and is designed to transfer in full to the U of A. The first year of studies at RDP will provide you with fundamental skills in mathematics, computing and science. You will apply this learning to solve engineering problems in such courses as Engineering Statics, Dynamics and Design.

Entry requirements

For international students

Three years of full-time education in English in a regular high school or post-secondary credit program:completed within Canada, including the grade 12 year; orcompleted in an English-speaking country; orcompleted at a recognized school or institution with English as the primary language of instruction.A 'Medium of Instruction' letter may be requested. Students applying to the Bachelor of Engineering (University Transfer) must have - 50 percent in ELA 30-160 percent in MATH 30-160 percent in MATH 3150 percent in CHEM 3050 percent in PHYS 30
