What will I learn?

Our BScEM program prepares you to embark on a challenging and fulfilling career as an environmental professional. You will be eligible to apply for the Environmental Professional in Training (EPt) designation through ECO Canada. This will allow you to be recognized and employed by organizations in the environment and natural resources sector across Canada. The wildlife conservation major equips you with a mix of practical knowledge regarding wildlife ecology, as well as management strategies and techniques necessary to achieve wildlife conservation goals. The importance of societal values, governance, conflict and policy is emphasized. By taking this major you can work towards becoming a certified wildlife biologist.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students must have completed a recognized secondary (high school) credential in your country. International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) - English Language, English First Language, English Literature (other literature-based language courses will be considered). Mathematics (must be taken at AS/Adv. Level). Chemistry. 1 of either Biology or Physics. 1 elective from group 1 or 2 (a group 4 elective may be used for entrance to Computer Science only). Overall average of B or higher in the subjects above. International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) - English A: Language & Literature (other languages will be considered) Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (SL or HL) or Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation HL. Chemistry. 1 of either Biology or Physics. 1 elective from group 1 or 2 (*a group 4 elective may be used for entrance to Computer Science only). Overall average of 4 or higher in the subjects above
