What will I learn?

Learn design foundations and theory, and work with the latest software and technology to take your art and design skills to the next level. Build the foundational knowledge, practical skills and technical expertise you need to succeed in a diverse range of digital design careers and stay ahead of a dynamic, fast-paced industry. As technologys importance grows, so does the impact of digital artists and designers, influencing everything from websites and movies to apps, games and animation. Through the Digital Media Design program, youll build versatile skills and practical experience in graphic design, communications, web and mobile design and development, 3D artistry, UI/UX, video, photography, motion graphic design and illustration.After completing this one-year program, you can continue your education and earn a diploma in one of two specialization programs: Digital Media Design - Interaction Design and Development or Digital Media Design - Video and Motion Graphics. Digital Media Design grads with a passion for 3D modelling and video game artistry can also advance their education in the two-year Game Development – Art advanced diploma program.

Regular Admission Requirements

Grade 12

Submit proof of graduation from or enrolment in Grade 12, including one credit in each of the following courses:

Grade 12 English

Grade 12 Math

If you provide proof of enrolment at time of application, your official final grades must be submitted by July 15 for fall enrolment or by the deadline specified in your admission letter

Mature Student Admission Requirements

If you are 19 years of age or older and have been out of high school for a minimum of one year at time of application, and you do not meet the regular admission requirements, you may apply under the Mature Student admission requirements.

Academic Requirement

High school graduation is not required, but you must have successfully completed or be enrolled in:

PTE - Academic Online Assessment (Pearson Test of English): Listening 58, Speaking 58, Reading 58, Writing 50

TOEFL - iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language - internet Based Test): Listening 20, Speaking 20, Reading 19, Writing 21

Duolingo (Duolingo English Test): minimum overall score of 115 required.
