Build versatile skills and train for a career as an engineering technologist in one of several specialized fields: architectural engineering, environmental engineering, municipal engineering, structural engineering or geomatics technology. Civil engineering technologists provide technical support and services to engineers, architects, scientists and other professionals. The Civil Engineering Technology program covers a broad range of content, allowing you to develop a diverse skillset with a multitude of career and employment options. All students in the program share a common first year in which they build fundamental skills, develop theoretical knowledge and use state-of-the-art software and equipment to explore different aspects of civil engineering. Students then choose one of five specialization programs to pursue until graduation. With work opportunities integrated into the curriculum – including two paid co-op terms – you gain valuable experience, build your industry network and prepare yourself for a career after graduation.
