What will I learn?

Elevate your machining and manufacturing skills and build the in-depth knowledge you need to enhance your career potential. This diploma program is an optional second-year continuation of the CNC Machinist Technician certificate program. It has been developed for CNC Machinist Technician graduates or those with a similar combination of education and experience. In this program, you will prepare for a variety of career opportunities and explore advanced manufacturing technologies, including computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) programming, advanced multi-axis CNC machining, additive manufacturing (3D Printing), robotics and automation. Through the CNC Machining and Advanced Technology program, you will build practical knowledge, employer-sought skills and work experience in our machine shop and through a work practicum. You will also explore elective courses focused on specialized manufacturing techniques, including multi-axis machining, CNC probing and aerospace composite manufacturing.

An interim transcript confirming enrolment in the required courses The regular admission requirement for all College programs (excluding upgrading and introduction programs and those programs requiring post-secondary education) is a Grade 12 or mature student high school diploma including any pre-requisite courses identified in the program admission requirements.
