By studying esports in a formal educational setting, students can gain the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the industry as coaches, broadcasters, or event managers. Esports is growing in popularity in Canada. The Canadian esports industry has increased in recent years, with a growing number of players, teams and events. Alberta, in particular, is well prepared to seize this billion-dollar opportunity and has launched its esports strategy, championed by a provincial esports working group. The industry itself has seen a 23% increase in its contribution to Canada's economy since 2019. Our Esports Business Management program is designed to give students the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the fast-paced, constantly evolving esports industry.
