We’ve been teaching the science of forestry for over 100 years, helping countless students manage and protect the planet’s natural resources for generations to come.Ranked among the best in North America, our department’s collaborative learning environment gives students the ability to examine environmental problems from both a biophysical and a socioeconomic perspective. Graduates are well-equipped to succeed in a variety of roles in the forestry industry, growing into respected environmental leaders, natural resource managers, conservationists, project coordinators and researchers.We normally have around 80 graduate students who are working on a variety of projects.
