In the Instrumentation and Automation Engineering Technology program, you will gain experience with measurement techniques, control strategies, robotics and automatic control of industrial processes and equipment. If you have a mind for technology, the Instrumentation and Automation Engineering Technology program will equip you with the knowledge and skills of measurement techniques, control strategies, robotics, automatic control of industrial processes and equipment needed to respond to the needs of a variety of industry sectors. In this program, you will master the skills to maintain, install and design the systems used to measure, monitor, and control processes in industries like food & beverage, oil & gas, water treatment, power generation, agriculture and more. Emphasis is on critical thinking, innovative design, diagnosis, and troubleshooting of technical problems. Through applied learning and a capstone project, you will develop proficiency in design, problem-solving and collaboration in diverse settings.

Entry requirements

For international students

Three years of full-time education in English in a regular high school or post-secondary credit program:completed within Canada, including the grade 12 year; orcompleted in an English-speaking country; orcompleted at a recognized school or institution with English as the primary language of instruction.A 'Medium of Instruction' letter may be requested. Students applying to Instrumentation and Automation Engineering Technology must have - 50 percent in ELA 30-1 OR 65 percent in ELA 30-2 60 percent in MATH 30-1 OR 75 percent in MATH 30-260 percent in PHYS 2060 percent in CHEM 20 OR 60 percent in SCI 30ORSuccessful completion of 15 post-secondary credits five courses from an accredited program in a related field Engineering Degree, Engineering Technology
