In this program, you are introduced to the field of user experience design, applying design processes and visual design skills to the creation of digital products such as websites and software applications (apps). You also learn about user research methods to recognize audience behaviours and needs for the purpose of redesigning or creating new digital products.

Building upon skills and methods from foundational courses, you learn to design experiences and interfaces for apps that are delivered using various form factors (mobile, tablet, desktop, wearable, virtual). You also go beyond designing for a single channel to design more complex digital services and learn to work in a multidisciplinary team with computer science students. Projects are open-ended and require students to be problem identifiers not just problem solvers.
