What will I learn?

Master of Science in Mathematical ScienceStudents take modules in Theoretical Physics and Mathematics, including a 20 ECTS research project in Theoretical Physics. At least 45 ECTS, including the research project, must be taken at the Masters level (level 6 in Theoretical Physics and level 5 in Mathematics). The remaining credits may be made up at levels 4, 5 or 6.

Entry requirements

For international students

Candidates for MSc in Mathematical Science will normally be expected to have at least a Second Class Honours Grade 1 in Theoretical/Mathematical Physics, Mathematics or a related discipline.

Applicants must have a recognised primary degree which is considered equivalent to Irish university primary degree level.
