What will I learn?

Study accounting practice, business law, auditing, taxation and financial management. You’ll learn about accounting principles, financial statements, compliance with accounting standards and regulations. In this double major, you’ll gain a broad understanding of the structure and operations of financial markets. In the accounting major, you will have a sound foundation in accounting, auditing, taxation and relevant areas of business law and financial management, and be able to apply to knowledge across a range of accounting contexts. The finance major gives you a broad understanding of the structure and operations of financial markets. You’ll learn about investment evaluation and how to make decisions on funding activities and disbursement of profits. You’ll also examine the role of financial markets.
