What will I learn?

From the fundamentals of scientific research to engineering applications, the BE(Hons)/BSc offers the skills and understanding necessary for innovation in a technologically complex ecosystem. With nine engineering specialisations and a huge selection of science majors, the BE(Hons)/BSc allows you to tailor your studies to suit your specific interests. You may consider studying complementary disciplines. For example, you could pair Exercise Sciences or Chemistry with Mechatronics to serve the increasing demand for smart devices and robotics. Alternatively you could take a School of Environment course and develop your ability to provide engineering solutions for a sustainable future. As more global industries seek people who can help to advance research and technology, your grasp of scientific and engineering principles will enable you to serve society’s needs. Engineering and Science play a vital role in addressing the key issues that confront us and future generations, so you’ll be prepared for a wide range of career opportunities. With our BE(Hons) being accredited by Engineering New Zealand, you’ll also be qualified to work in many countries outside of New Zealand.Physics is arguably the most fundamental of all sciences. If you understand the principles of physics and the laws of nature you’ll have a sharp insight into the world around you. All of modern science and technology is underpinned by physics. A degree in Physics will give you an understanding of the nature of matter as well as training in experimental methods and the mathematical analysis of physical processes. If you’d like to better understand the nature of matter, train in experimental methods and learn more about the mathematical analysis of physical processes, then Physics might be the subject for you. Entry requirements

For international students

International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum total score of 24. General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level. You must have completed a minimum of three A-Level subjects. Cambridge International Examinations (CIE). You must have completed a minimum of three A-level subjects. IELTS (Academic) - Overall score of 6.5 and no bands below 6.0 Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) - Overall score of 90 and a written score of 21 Paper-based TOEFL - Overall score of 68 and a writing score of 21
