As a food technologist you will learn how to contribute to economic growth through improvements in productivity and Research and Development (R&D). You will play a key role in the development of new products and processes for the food industry. Developing and improving food products, nutrition, health and safety are a priority for food technologists. You will learn how to produce products that consumers desire. That might be products with new beneficial characteristics, or that taste amazing, or that have longer shelf life but contain fewer additives, or all three.
