What will I learn?

Massey’s Bachelor of Sport and Exercise (Exercise Prescription) will give you the knowledge and skills to develop, implement and assess exercise programmes to enhance sport performance, health, and rehabilitation. The Bachelor of Sport and Exercise (Exercise Prescription) combines theory and practical application. You’ll learn about a range of disciplines including body function and movement, sport nutrition, and exercise psychology. You’ll also get an insight into fitness assessment and exercise prescription. These lay the foundations for enhancing health, wellbeing and performance in the general, compromised and athletic populations. The sport and exercise practicum will give you work experience allowing you to apply your knowledge and skills in real-world settings. This may include working in the fitness industry, with sports teams and athletes, or with individuals who have various health conditions. This will enable you to work on your fitness assessment, exercise technique and programming skills, while preparing you for entry into the workforce. Your practicum course can be based anywhere around the country, or even overseas.
