What will I learn?

Advance your knowledge in the area of design that interests you, enhancing your theoretical and practical design expertise. You’ll further develop your critical thinking and discussion skills, increase your understanding of design, and learn to express your own ideas and conclusions while producing a portfolio of design research. Offered by the School of Design Innovation, the Master of Design is an opportunity to explore design-based research under the supervision of staff who are widely acknowledged as leaders in their fields. You’ll need a solid understanding of design research methodology to be successful in your studies. Explore your topic in depth and develop a portfolio of original design research.

Entry requirements

For international students

You need a Bachelors degree with at least a B average unless stated otherwise in the programmes minimum general entry requirements. A background in a particular subject area or extensive relevant work experience may be required. Students with equivalent international qualifications from a recognised institution are encouraged to apply. Each application is assessed individually, and entry into postgraduate programmes is at the discretion of the programme director.
