Students will learn to create business documents such as reports and spreadsheets, and gain an understanding of MYOB software. At the end of the semester students will have the opportunity to put their learning into practice through work experience in a local business.Students will learn about: Working with people Performing financial transactions Using spreadsheets and technologies Using Microsoft Word Providing administration support Study topics: Technical skills (data processing, financial calculations, transactions and reporting)Written communication (business correspondence and emails) Reception skills (customer service techniques and telephone skills) MYOB accounting Business technologies (computers, laptops, tablets, printers) Microsoft Office (using Outlook, Word, and Excel) Administrative systems and processes (meeting preparation, filing, scanning, copying) Soft skills taught: Professional and ethical behaviour Problem-solving Decision-making Teamwork Self-management
