What will I learn?

Gain the academic skills required for higher-level study in engineering. This six-month programme is designed to build your skills for long-term academic and career success by ensuring the essential layers of learning are in place. It covers a variety of subjects aimed at preparing you for the Study and Employment Pathways Engineering Pathway (Level 4) course and then on to the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering with options in Civil, Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical. You’ll take core courses designed to equip you with fundamental academic and technical mathematical skills, alongside an introductory course to technical skills which supports your chosen pathway.
