BA (Hons) Acting with integrated Foundation Year and Professional Practice Year is a five-year degree programme, including an integrated foundation year to help develop your skills and creativity before you start the first year of the degree course and your fourth year would be an industry placement to further develop your skills and CV.Train as an actor. Become a creator.We train actor-creators: performers who can also write, produce and direct for theatre and film. At UCA, you’ll experience conservatoire intensity with university depth, combining rigorous physical and vocal training with the creative independence to build a sustainable career in the creative industries.Your training balances stage and screen, in both classical and contemporary contexts. You'll perform in fully staged productions at professional theatres, shoot in industry-standard film studios, train in motion capture and virtual production suites, and showcase your work at national theatres. Every project is designed to stretch you technically and creatively.By graduation, you’ll have an industry-standard showreel, voicereel, headshots, acting CV, and website – all included as part of the course, and designed to support you in launching your career. You'll also leave with the skills, experience, and creative confidence to make your own work – without waiting for someone else to offer it.
