This master's course is designed for those who already hold an undergraduate degree. For this version of the Adult Nursing course, you will complete a dissertation on a topic of your choosing.
Registered nurses are skilled healthcare professionals. They work in a wide range of healthcare settings. As a registered nurse, you will work with others to help and support patients and carers. Often, this can be through challenging situations.
Our MSc Adult Nursing course will prepare you to work in partnership with patients and carers. You will be prepared to work with a wide range of health conditions. This course will help you become a compassionate and knowledgeable registered nurse. You will be ready to work in any modern healthcare setting.
If you choose to study nursing with us, this means your time will be split between learning on campus and learning on clinical placements.
Whilst nursing appears to be a very practical profession, you will also gain a range of abilities that are developed in the classroom.
You will learn the theoretical elements of nursing. These support the development of critical thinking skills. These skills will provide you with a toolkit of strategies to help you problem-solve in the clinical environment.
You will learn through a variety of interactive scenario-based learning, lectures and tutorials. You will also learn through some online-based learning. You will also learn through practical workshops in our Clinical Skills Centre. This will help you to develop your nursing skills.
Our Clinical Skills Centre has state-of-the-art facilities including a simulated hospital ward. You will build your confidence through interactive sessions and acted-patient scenarios. These sessions will enable you to practice your skills in a supported environment.
Completing and passing all elements of this nursing course will give you both an academic and professional qualification. This can lead to you becoming a registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
