Anatomy and Forensic Anthropology MSc

In this MSc, you will explore the human body’s structure. You will also cover the analysis of human remains for legal purposes.

Anatomy focuses on how organs and tissues connect. It does so at both a whole-body and microscopic level. Forensic anthropology assists in the identification of human remains in a number of situations. These include criminal cases, repatriation, mass disasters, and war crimes investigations.

This course is hands-on and practical. You will:

• perform full-body dissection using Thiel-embalmed cadavers. These retain real-life colour and flexibility.
• analyse skeletal remains to learn forensic identification
• produce forensic reports. You will also gain experience in presenting your findings.
