What will I learn?

Archaeology is the study of the human past, from the hunter-gatherers of Ice Age Europe to the inhabitants of modern cities. At Chester, our course provides you with an understanding of the nature of these past societies and the techniques that we use to study them. The course aims to provide you with a wide range of skills, such as field survey and excavation, critical reading and writing, and scientific analysis; and you may have the opportunity to specialise in particular periods or themes.
