What will I learn?

This degree inspires you to explore the human past and the ways in which archaeologists investigate and interpret material remains from past cultures. You can choose to study the periods of history that interest you the most, from prehistory right up to the present day, in Britain and in the rest of Europe. You'll enjoy hands-on experience of human history, with many chances to work directly with artefacts and take part in fieldwork.

Entry requirements

For international students

A Level: BBB. General Studies accepted.

IB: A minimum of 30 points with three subjects at Grade 5 or above at Higher Level.

Scottish: BBBBB at Higher Grade. Combinations of Highers and Advanced Highers accepted.

Irish Leaving Certificate: H2H2H2H3H3 at Higher Level.

Access Qualifications: 30 Level 3 Credits at Distinction and 15 at Merit. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in archaeology.
