What will I learn?

We have a broad programme of research, applying engineering principles to the human body and to the machines and instrumentation used in modern healthcare. We also have a longstanding interest in computational and mathematical analysis of biomedical systems.Our work falls within three research themes:Bioanalytics – data modelling and statistical analysis, Biomaterials – developing novel therapeuticsBiomechanics – experimental & computational study of biomechanical systems

Entry requirements

For international students

Applicants for PhD must normally hold an undergraduate degree at 2.1 level (or Non-UK equivalent as defined by Swansea University) in Engineering or similar relevant science discipline. We also welcome applications from graduates in computational science or mathematics.

*There may be different IELTS requirements depending on your chosen course.
