What will I learn?

Cardiac physiologists record and analyse physiological data to diagnose and treat cardiac disease. They play an essential role in healthcare, saving many lives and improving many more. Cardiac physiologists in hospitals deal with patients first-hand, meaning they need not only highly specialised knowledge and excellent analytical abilities but good people skills.Our biomedical and biological science courses have a burgeoning international reputation, due to our world-class research in areas including biomarkers, public health and biomodelling. The university is home to the Centre for Investigative and Diagnostic Oncology, which has pioneered techniques for cancer diagnosis and treatment, including our breakthrough in the development of a vaccine for bladder cancer.1 year full-time

Entry requirements

For international students

We welcome applications from graduates with a 2:1 honours degree, or equivalent qualification, in a health or science-based subject; Applicants must normally be a clinical physiologist but those from other healthcare professions (e.g. registered nurse, clinical exercise physiologist, physiotherapist and medical practitioners) are also welcomed; We also consider candidates with other relevant qualifications and individuals with a minimum of three years' work experience in clinical physiology. Those without formal qualifications need to demonstrate relevant work experience and the ability to study at postgraduate level.
