What will I learn?

The aim in training is to strike a balance between the interests of the individual trainee, formal professional training requirements, academic requirements appropriate for a doctoral level qualification, and the broader and developing needs of a clinical psychologist within the National Health Service.Placements, academic assignments and detailed research supervision are spread across training and these provide an excellent grounding for individual development. Support is extensive across all aspects of the programme, with innovative placements, a strong publication culture and the opportunity to be involved in all parts of the programme’s development being some of the outstanding features of this training experience.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students need to have an Undergraduate degree or conversion course which confers eligibility for the graduate basis for chartered membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Applicants do not need to be members of the BPS. Applicants must have GBC with the BPS at the time of application and cannot apply when an award is pending unless this would be confirmed prior to April in the year of entry.
